Compound of Carbon, Oxygen and Hydrogen in variable ratios obtained by treating graphite with strong oxidizers. The maximally oxidized bulk product is a yellow solid with a carbon to oxygen ratio between 22.1 and 22.9 which retains the layer structure of graphite but with a much larger and irregular spacing. GO is hydrophilic and water dispersible to 2D material and is prepared by oxidation reaction from natural graphite in mass production.

This product is graphene nanoplatelet-based oily battery slurry with high electrical conductivity.
